La victoire chez les hommes revient à Ruben Indongo, de retour en Guyane après deux ans passés en Hexagone. Son temps de 1h15'39" lui a permis de s’offrir son premier semi-marathon de la saison. Ruben Indongo, qui avait déjà participé à de grandes courses sur le sol métropolitain, notamment à Paris l’an dernier, a su maintenir un rythme soutenu tout au long du parcours.

Chez les féminines, c'est Christina Laurent de la Guadeloupe qui s'est imposée avec un temps impressionnant de 1h26'56", confirmant la qualité des athlètes guadeloupéens, toujours bien représentés dans les compétitions régionales.

L'émotion a culminé lors de la participation exceptionnelle de Roulyo Habran, un Guyanais vivant en Martinique, engagé dans la catégorie handisport. Avec une détermination sans faille, il a parcouru les 21,1 km accompagné de Dilhan Will, son guide, franchissant la ligne d'arrivée en 1h35'56" et se classant à la 27e place. Ce moment fut particulièrement salué par les spectateurs, conscients du défi que représentait cette course pour Roulyo Habran, sur ses terres natales.

Odylson Prika, jeune coureur prometteur de 22 ans, a terminé deuxième au classement général avec un temps de 1h16'08", juste derrière Ruben Indongo. Son potentiel est suivi de près par les clubs locaux, qui voient en lui un athlète à l’avenir prometteur. Lionel Moutien Cally, habitué des podiums locaux, complète le trio de tête avec un temps de 1h19'42".

À titre d'information, le record du monde de la discipline est toujours détenu par l’Ougandais Jacob Kiplimo, avec un temps de 57 min 31 s, établi lors du semi-marathon de Lisbonne au Portugal, le 21 novembre 2021. Chez les femmes, l'Éthiopienne Letesenbet Gidey est détentrice du record avec un chrono de 1 h 2 min 52 s, réalisé lors du semi-marathon de Valence en Espagne, le 24 octobre 2021.
